Meet Luis Fabrega

Founder & Trial Attorney, Fabrega Law Firm

Luis Fabrega is a trial lawyer with three decades of experience in Texas courtrooms. He has tried over 100 lawsuits to verdict as a first-chair trial lawyer and has resolved over 500 additional cases through mediation and arbitration.

Luis was born in Panama, came to the U.S. as a child, and grew up in Louisiana. After high school, he became a United States Marine, deploying overseas to the Persian Gulf as part of an anti-tank combat infantry unit. Before law school, he worked in the oilfield services industry as an electrician's helper and welder's helper, and as an educator in the school district where he attended high school.

After earning his J.D. from Louisiana State University, Luis moved to Texas, joining a large Houston litigation practice before starting his own firm, which he built and co-managed for twenty years. After decades spent representing insurance companies and big business, Luis started representing victims and families in catastrophic injury and wrongful death lawsuits against trucking companies, unsafe businesses, insurance companies, and product manufacturers at a nationally respected personal injury law firm. He founded Fabrega Law Firm to bring that same diligence, preparation, and courtroom-tested judgment directly to clients who need a trial lawyer they can trust.

A Rare Vantage Point

A Rare Vantage Point

Twenty-five years on the defense side. Now working only for the injured.

For the first twenty-five years of his career, Luis represented insurance companies and corporations — defending them against the very types of claims he now brings on behalf of injured people. He learned, firsthand, how the other side builds a defense, evaluates a claim, and decides what a case is worth to them.

Then Luis made a deliberate choice: to put that insight to work exclusively for injured victims and grieving families — the same path taken by many of the country's most respected plaintiff's trial lawyers.

“I know how the other side thinks, because I used to be the other side.”

The Advantage of Knowing the Other Side's Playbook

1

He Anticipates the Playbook

Having built defense strategies for a quarter century, Luis knows the moves before the other side makes them.

2

He Knows How Insurers Value a Claim

Luis worked on the inside of claim evaluation — he knows what actually drives a settlement number, not just what's asked for.

3

He Knows What Evidence Gets Attacked

Years spent finding the weak points in plaintiffs' cases means Luis now builds cases that hold up against that same scrutiny.

4

He Negotiates From Knowledge, Not Guesswork

Luis brings real insight into defense and insurer decision-making to every settlement table and every trial.
